Anthony M. Gonzales

Anthony Martin Gonzales, 51, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at his home due to cancer. He was born December 3, 1969, in Redondo Beach, California, to Anthony and Frances (Garcia) Gonzales.  He received a master’s degree in exercise science from Cal State and went onto the University of Minnesota Duluth where he graduated in 2004 with an M.D. in Family Medicine. On May 31, 2005, he was united in marriage to Joy Miller. They lived in Hibbing for 10 years where he worked at a local clinic. They then moved to Lake City, where he was employed at Olmsted Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife, Joy; 3 children, Anthony, Joseph and Lydia; mother, Frances Gonzales and sister, Andrea Gonzales both of Hawthorne, Calif.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m., Friday, August 6, 2021   at Hiawatha Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Friemel officiating.   A luncheon will follow the service at the church.  Memorials are preferred to the Ronald McDonald Home or Children’s Baptist House.  Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
