Jeanette Rose (Boll) Wright

Jeanette Rose Wright, 86, of Red Wing, peacefully entered the heavenly kingdom on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at her home in Loving Residence in Red Wing. She was born May 28, 1936 at home in Lake City to Jean and Fay Boll. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954. On May 7, 1955 she married Maynard Wright in Lake City. After farming for a little while, the couple made their home in Red Wing where they raised three children. Jeanette worked at a waitress and also for Riedell Skate for more than 22 years.

Jeanette was a stylish woman who enjoyed shopping, pretty jewelry, and driving around in her little red convertible. She loved decorating her home to match her stylish personality. She and her family like to go camping, or rather something closer to “glamping” at the Shades of Sherwood campground, where she enjoyed playing turkey tracks and hosting euchre tournaments. She and Maynard spent many years wintering in Texas in their motorhomes.  She had many friends from all over the world she loved to connect with on her computer. Jeanette was also a great cook and skilled baker who loved being a mother and grandmother.  

She is survived by her children, Kathy Wright of Red Wing, and Kevin (Jennifer) Wright of Edgefield, South Carolina; granddaughters, Mallory West and Heather (Jesse) Wartner; step-grandchildren, Thomas (Kris) Martin, Christopher (Connie) Martin, Daniel (Cam) Martin, and Erin (Chris) Kjos; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Justin Wartner; as well as many step-great-grandchildren; and special family friend, Jamie Johnston.

She is preceded in death by her husband Maynard in 2020; son Randy Wright in 1981; grandson, Josiah Wright; and her parents.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2023 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing with Rev. Linda McCollough officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery following the service.
