LeRoy Hayes

LeRoy John Hayes, 81, of Red Wing, died Monday, January 10, 2022 at his home.  He was born January 15, 1940, in Goodhue County, Minnesota.  He grew up in Wisconsin near Ellsworth/Diamond Bluff.  He was united in marriage to Shirley Ostrander and together they had five children; they later divorced.  LeRoy worked for Conwed and Lakeside Packing Company for the majority of his working years.  He later retired from Treasure Island as a custodian.  At one time, he enjoyed being able to hunt and fish, and he always loved antiques.

He is survived by 4 children, Kathleen Jacobson of Red Wing, Scott Hayes of Sparta, WI, and Rodney and Mark Hayes both of Red Wing; grandchildren, Derrick Jacobson, David Hayes, Missy and Joshua Baker, Jessica Westberg and Tonya Walczak; great-grandchildren, Logan, Kaden and Addison; 3 brothers, Danny, Bud and Harley Hayes and a sister, Margaret.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lori Walczak and two brothers, Duane and Harvey.

No services will be held for LeRoy at this time.  Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
