Michael Anthony Ebler

Michael Anthony Ebler, 61, of Red Wing Minn., died suddenly at home on November 26. Born in Waukegan, Ill., on August 23, 1960 to Albert and Bonnie, he grew up in Gurnee, Ill., and graduated Warren Township High School, class of 1978.  He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Bradley University and then relocated to Minnesota in 1982.

Married in 1985 to Marcia Berg, and together had two daughters; Brittani and Allycia. Marcia lost her battle with cancer in 1994.  Mike later married Sally Dahl in 1998 (divorcing in 2017), and together they had a son, Benjamin.

Mike was involved in the restaurant business most of his working life.  He enjoyed watching sports and stuck true to his roots by backing the Chicago Bears and Cubs, even from Minnesota.

Mike is survived by his daughters, Brittani (Nate) Kirchner of Ellsworth, Wis., Allycia Sheahan of Fayetteville, NC, and son Benjamin of Red Wing, Minn.; Grandkids, Natalie Kirchner and Kayden Sheahan.  Also survived by his mother Bonnie Ebler of Gurnee, Ill., siblings Rick (Marcie) Ebler of Burlington, Wis., and Lauri (Mike) Sasser of Trevor, Wis., as well nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Preceded in death by his wife Marcia and his father Al in 2001.

Memorial Service will be 4 p.m., December 10, 2021 at Mahn Family Funeral Home in Red Wing, Minn. with visitation one hour prior to service. A Celebration of Life gathering will take place in Illinois in early 2022. Location and date to be decided.
